winter has excavated this life:

her unforgiving hands unearthed every bone

in turn, prone to decay, they cracked, then

turned to dust between her fingers, this naive

archaeologist, too clumsy with her tools, too

imprecise.

they displayed the leftovers, this body is a failing

museum, and tell the curator: a collection of

cold bones is not a showstopper. all

exhibitions tell a story - and although this one is

not good, it relays the familiar folklore.
